Orient Elements is an inspiration from the traditional symbolic chinese geometric shapes found along Waterloo Street.
In order to keep the heritage and history of Waterloo street the geometric forms are connected to form a shelter for all visitors. Enabling activities throughout the day no matter the weather.
The design process
A geometric language formed is applied even in the seating and the ground plan reinforcing the significance of the geometry which is to “bless”.
“Oriental” means “Eastern” for Asia where many cultures such as the chinese culture integrates numerous sacred geometry into their designs, some geometric symbols are known for blessing people.
